<Bush has never called himself a war hero> I see him do it every day -- from the self-congratulations he gives himself as a hero of the "war on terror" down to publicity stunts like parading around the deck of an aircraft carrier in front of the banner "mission accomplished". As for Kerry, I don't recall him referring to himself as a war hero -- but at least he served in a war. You would never know watching him on television that he presided over one of the largest national security failures of any American President.
