Boone N.C. is a beautiful area where mountains abound. It's called the high country as it's cool in the summers and a great natural beauty. However, Roan Mountain looks devastated when one climbs to the top. The trees are all withered looking and the vegetation sparse. It is one of the highest mountains and global warming has taken it's toll. If one wants evidence of how we are contaminating our natural beauty one only has to look here. I signed the Petition and urge others to do the same. If it helps at all we will have accomplished something for our environment and for future generations. Thanks for posting this.
