So soldiers from the US and UK and perhaps other NATO members would be killing Palestinians instead of Israelis, That's a pretty inane response.. Give my post another re-read and then try a better response.. The last thing I'm talking about it occupation of the West Bank and Gaza by NATO or UN-sponsored forces. It's basically acceding to Palestinian demands for Statehood and separating the Iraelis and Palestinians from one another, with the additional bonus of reducing Hamas as a viable force that feeds on the existing situation. The concept of Palestinian statehood, sponsored and supported by NATO (including European) forces, would put the French and Germans directly on the spot by forcing them to match their verbal support for the Palestinians with their physical military support. This would definitely have to be multi-national in scope... Not something the US should attempt alone. But we have a vital role in forcing the Israelis to give up the settlements and establish viable borders. Hawk
