This war in Iraq has turned into a war of occupation. Saddam is gone, now Bush needs to internationalize the peace keeping, and let Iraq get to the business of governing themselves.

The main problem with this war is that we went there for the wrong reasons. (Bush changes his reasons for the war every month or so)

Then we have no plan for the aftermath of a war that took out a complete system of governance, albeit a shady one. But when you take the legs out from under the table you have to eat off the floor.

Would have been far better to exert pressure externally to Saddam's regime, while taking care of business in Afghanistan. The cost of not fully taking out Al Qaeda and bin Laden has not been fully realized yet.

I would have surrounded them and taken them out. Yet bin Laden rides a donkey to Afghanistan...leaves right under the noses...of our surrogate warriors...the rent-a-soldiers from the "Local war Lords", who a few months before were on the Taliban pay roll.

What in the hell were they thinking?

Blinded by the opportunity to secure the oil in Iraq?

IDIOTS!

AS, Saddam loyalists are Iraqis...don't you even get the most simple concepts. Did you think his loyalists were Ecuadorians?

In Iraq they celebrate publicly murdering and mutilating Americans. What is wrong with that picture? Bushies claims they're Saddam loyalists but the ones I saw interviewed were Islamists, and not foreigners but Iraqis themselves.

spirit. you said...." In Iraq they celebrate publicly murdering and mutilating Americans. What is wrong with that picture? Bushies claims they're Saddam loyalists but the ones I saw interviewed were Islamists, and not foreigners but Iraqis themselves. Maybe even ordinary average Iraqis.".....

Are you suggesting that Iraqi citizens are anything other than upstanding good citizens? Are you suggesting that there is something wrong with them just because they are muslims? After all I too saw the same scenes and looked to me like there were a number of children in the crowd celebrating. Surely you not suggesting that there is something wrong with muslim people.....Are you??
