It's the very same reason we spent the past 50 years opposing Communist expansionism.. They swore they would "bury us". Swore that they would destroy the West. That's a bit naive. We created the Cold War to keep the military industrial complex fueled. That's why we spent 50 years opposing "Communist Expansionism". Eisenhower warned us about it. Remember Vietnam and the "Dominoe Theory of Communist Expansion"? It proved to be as bogus as this war is being proven to be. Maybe you should rethink your analysis of the mental perceptions of the miltant Islamic Fundamentalist movement. Maybe you should rethink your analysis of the mental perceptions of the militant Christian Fundamentalist movement. They are taking our country on a ruinous road.
