57% Say U.S. Harder to Attack - Most Say War with Iraq Part of Terror War

"March 26, 2004--Fifty-seven percent (57%) of Americans say that U.S. efforts since 9/11 have made it harder for terrorists to attack the United States. A Rasmussen Reports survey found that just 26% of Americans disagree.

The survey also found that 51% of Americans believe that the War with Iraq was part of the larger War on Terrorism. A sizable minority, 37%, believe it was a distraction. By a similar margin, Americans trust George Bush more than John Kerry to provide leadership for the War on Terror."
