Ketchup in bulk, at about .04 an ounce at big box retailers is $5.12 a gallon, twice the cost of gasoline and at typical retail grocery price is nearer $20 a gallon. Where's the outrage!!!!! Instead of proposing to quit filling the strategic reserves, a minuscule item, Kerry should have proposed allowing some new refineries to be built to ease the seasonal pricing pressure from inelastic supplies. Yep, the enviro-whackos have reason subjugated to emotion.
