The reality is that the population of the Middle East countries in total is more then the population of the US and their average age is lower then the average age of the US. If we where going to "educate half of the youth of the middle east" we would be increasing the number of students in America by well over 50%. Even if that many Arabs wanted to leave, and their governments would let them, and they would be willing to go home after (or if we didn't care if they went home or not) it would not be politically or economically possible, and if it could be done it would cost a lot more then what we are spending In Iraq. And what about the fact that their are Islamic terrorist from non ME countries, and for that matter their are non Islamic terrorists. Should we educate half of all Islamic youth (assuming they would let us and that we could and would want to) or perhaps half of the world?? Tim

The reality is that democracy only flourishes when people have a chance to be educated Has it ever occurred to you to wonder why the dictatorships around the world DON'T educate their people???? Their OWN people??? Why continually blame the US for spreading our type of democracy around the world, and then blame the US for not educating the world??? Just exactly was the last time (first time?) you noticed any other country coming to the aid of the US in any meaningful way....????
