Al, For those who say that Clarke is a partisan opportunist and not telling the truth.

An out-of-the-loop "cyberterrorism czar" is pretending 9/11 wouldn't have happened had Bush listened to him in the months prior. Riiiiiiiight.

Heeeyyyy, sooooo, why would an "in the loop" NSA make a speech, on that very day, about Star Wars....after being briefed by berger and clarke, after being given a game plan by clarke who was doing her job for her, urging her and anyone who would listen to focus on alqueda instead....can you imagine if she had actually made that speech before the attack as she had intended to? she would have been the butt of every joke on planet Earth and maybe a few in some far away galaxies as well. Soooo...was bush focused? was the NSA watching football as the enemy played soccer? Rice herself provides the answer (al least to anyone who has bothered to take that partisan wax out of their ears).

In a sense, we WERE attacked by long-range missiles. The only problem was that the "missiles" were originally designed to carry passengers for United and American Airlines.

I hope that's a joke. Not a funny one, but I hope you were going for a laugh. Intent is important here too.

Al
