For those with a little time on their hands and an interest in how Iraq may have factored into 9/11, read the following lawsuit on behalf of John O'Neill's estate:

infosecwest.com

O'Neill was the former FBI counter-terrorist specialist who closely tracked Al-Qaeda activities prior to 9/11, who was ignored by the Clinton Administration..

He died in the 9/11 attack after retiring from the FBI and taking a job as head of security for the WTC.

You're coming up with excuses for why something can't happen, while I'm telling you that, if necessary, we force it to happen by 1.) thumping the heads of the extremists on both sides

That may take a lot of thumping...

and 2.) putting the peace treaty to a referendum in both Palestine and Israel.

If Israel's government agrees to it no referendum is needed, if they don't no referendum will happen. As for the Palestinians - A How do you get a referendum that isn't controlled by the radicals? and B Are you really sure that a NATO imposed solution would win even an honest referendum?

Hamas will have to make a choice of dying, or joining in the political system under a oath of non-violence. Having Hamas continue to be armed and threatening violence against Israel is a deal-killer. But the PA is just not able (or is unwilling to risk) having to deal with Hamas.
Thus, NATO forces will be required to accomplish that.

Israel has been trying to accomplish that for awhile. What is NATO going to do that will be so much more successful?

Taking the Palestinian-Israeli issue out of the equation might go a long way to deflating their political balloon.

If I was so sure that this would take the Palestinian Israeli issue out of the equation I would probably support it.
