The best people do not run. There is no doubt about that. Those with the biggest egos run. The job has great perks, but the parties spend the term trying to destroy the President for their gain during the next election, and the house members work hard to do the same.

People on this thread are simply an extension of the party...too bad, we were a great country made up of independent thinkers, now we have democrats and republicans...

Speaking is an excellent trait to have as a leader, Kerry and Bush are not great speakers, and they tend to get negative responses when they are in public. Thus their handlers hide them from the public as we have discussed on this thread. Their handlers control both of them...because they must be guided. That is not the type of leader we need, yet so many want them.

I find much humor in many of the positions. The voters are actually funnier than the candidates, but unfortunately, too many are unable to laugh at themselves. This thread is an excellent example of it. Just as Kerry must learn to grow up, so must we...(well, most of us would not have created a scene as he did when he fell down...)(s)
