...the Bush Administration ignores a fresh holocaust-like disaster in Western Sudan's Darfur Province, where Khartoum-backed Arabs are slaughtering dark-skinned fellow Moslems. Does the war on terror preclude us from even taking mild diplomatic measures to let Sudan's leadership know we disapprove? What kind of nation are we becoming ?

But has anybody at all descended into the streets to protest over this, or call for something to be done ?

Not really, strategically unimportant, out of sight, out of mind. Just like Rwanda was till it was too late.
