Ted, Rice is in the news so much because she refused to testify based on a non existent principle that is horsesh*t.

I wouldn't go that far, but then again, I never heard of that "principle" before it was brought up, either. I'll agree that Bush's reversal on the matter is a minor blunder, if only because an event as cataclysmic as 9/11 deserves more than just a "routine" investigation.

As for Rice, she would have never been in the news this much had it not been for Clarke. He could have directed his criticism at the usual suspects (Bush, Cheney, Rumsfeld, maybe even Tenet and Powell), and he did of course, but it seems he had a real beef with Rice.
