I agree... there is plenty of corruption and pork-barrel politics at all levels. Certainly some of the classic corruption and waste scandals have been at the State level. But, what I said is also true: they (the States) have absolutely no control over what happens in the larger national economy, nor on what idiotic actions the federal government takes. When it comes to MAJOR accounting fraud... the States can't take a candle compared to the Federal government --- they aren't in the same ball park... no where near the same league.
