lorne, a good one from you for a change. I think the there is a debate on this in the legal community because of the 22nd and the 12th amendments.

The 12th says that the VP should be one who can be elected President. The 22nd says that a person is not eligible to run for President if he/she has served a two terms as President.

So the debate is if Clinton runs with Kerry, and should something happen to Kerry as President, then Clinton can serve as President but he cannot run when the term is up. There is another camp who says he cannot be on the ticket ourely because of the 12th amendment and do not want to consider the two amendments together.
