They don't you nitwit, but if public support were expressed by foreign leaders that might be a nice endorsement. But in the world of politics, these kinds of endorsements are usually given in private...not public...and for obvious reasons.

I'll agree that maybe Kerry should not have mentioned support that he received privately, but I do not doubt that he has received such endorsements.

I wasn't aware that foreign leaders typically endorse one candidate or the other. Diplomatic custom, you know. Ultimately, one of the candidates will win, and a leader of another country doesn't want to have pissed off the winner by supporting his opponent during the campaign.
