Soros is a great man for what he has done in stepping in to the void in the former Soviet states. His work in the 90s filled an absolute need where few others were working (development of necessary civil society, nukes, etc.). He gets attacked because he promotes democracy in places where it is not always liked (Georgia for instance). Thus he gets accused of meddling because he backs democratic opposition forces in the face of authoritarian tyrants. Good to see a man put his money where his mouth is and fight on the side of right. The little guy needs someone like him stumping up the cash for the good fight. rube
