Oh and, no. Definetly not. I doubt if the "average" 2 wage family can.

PS, I've seen it said that refi $ and the like is being spent in non-productive ways ie, cars, boats, vacations etc. I say it's worse in some cases. It's being used to pay HH expenses and health care. That is scarily close to the bone and in those cases a raising ARM puts them with the fishes.
