Kasriel nails it doesn't he? FYI, I sent him my Train Wreck essay a month ago, and he was actually one of the few to respond with interest, so he gets it.

Ironically, I don't think the sell-off today was an inflation scare, although that should have happened yesterday with a non-bogus PPI report. Unlike Kasriel I think most of these money guys just let the Wizards dictate their thinking and actions. Of course every monkey knows that it's the job indicator that counts, so that's the ball they are focused on. Boy, are they in for a rude awakening when the real inflation scare takes hold after it's already ravaged the economy for several months duration. The word seems to be spreading though it may not be much longer, with even CNBC starting to challenge the conventional benign inflation mentality some.
