Bushie neocons knew the WMD's argument was a phony one.
Certainly Cheney knew because why else would he have to work so hard to fake and exaggerate evidence?

The day before Bush invaded, Bill Kristol went on TV and said something very startling, that we might not find any WMD's. That had never been said before by any neocons. Kristol is one of the few more or less honest neocons.
By then Bushies also knew their scant evidence was fabricated or juiced.

Also, you say the whole world thought they had WMD's. One of the reasons for that was the Bushies and CIA were insisting they did. The whole matter stinks to high hell. Quit defending it.

Have you forgotten that just about the entire world was relying on information from the greatest intelligence service in the world, as were American citizens. I mean our own intelligence service of course. Your point is a little like lying about your age and then saying how could I have known, you all believed it too.

If you'll recall, Hans Blix has said that whenever we gave him "hard" intelligence he followed up on it immediately and it was invariably wrong. He says that should have told us that our sources were unreliable and that we needed a lot more information before we concluded that Saddam was not cooperating when he said he had no wmds.

It makes sense to me.
