It seems to me that the point you are trying to make is that Bush was lying. But none of that speech seems to be an outright lie. Some of it is true. Other parts could be a lie or could be mistaken impressions, or are expressions of concern rather then statements of certain knowledge.

If there was another point that I missed please make it more explicitly.


That speech was damning. If you don't see that, then you are far more partisan than you realize.

If you get a chance, you might read this article posted by JF. It plays into past discussions we've had re. the European economies and their well being vs. ours. Even though the income statistics favor us, this article adds evidence to my supposition that Europeans are better off than we are on average.
