Clarke got orders from Andy Card or State. Read his transcript. The WHite House ordered the Saudis and Bin Laudens let go. Clarke was in no position to disobey a direct order. Now he may wish he had.

Clarke was very clear in what he said...and then some net posters say differently...(g) They agree with what they want and dispute what they don't like. I have doubts about everything he says and do not know what to believe...he has caused this mistrust because people recognize his political motivations.
