Clarke said the White House Chief Of Staff (Andrew Card, Bush's righthand man) or State Department called him on 9-11 and told him to let the Saudis (inclouding Bin Laudens) out of the country. Period. That's what he said. The rightwing is now trying to spin this very clear statement into something less clear. It's what it is. The White nHouse is terrified of this statement by Clarke UNDER OATH mind you, and have sent their packs of loiars out to somehow chip away at it. They are also (incredibly) trying to make people think Clarke works for the Kerry campaign and "liberals". Clarke is a life-long Republican.
