S2, This is a time-honored tradition of politicians to claim humble roots and old-timey values. Lots of Presidential candidates who were "born in log cabins" actually lived in Shaker Heights and Grosse Pointe. I remember a phony from Illinois, Percy, who wanted to show reporters his humble beginnings. One of my friends lived there at the time and wouldn't allow him or his film crew on the property. And my friend wasn't all that underprivileged.
