Part of the forest.............

<< Between 1997 and 2000, more than 195 terror attacks occurred on transit systems worldwide, congressional investigators say.>>>

And what was the US doing about it? Not enough.

story.news.yahoo.com

What is cheaper and more effective, act to eliminate terrorists?
Or
Put missile sites , fences, and guards at all our valued sites. Search anyone attending sporting events or rallies,
boading airplanes ships and trains etc for the next few decades. Seal our borders.

Which action does nothing for any other country or our overseas facilities and contractors working for foreign governments-and which smart terrorists can work their way around ?

Next years headline- French train traveling at 230 mph is derailed by terrorists, destroys entire city of ------.

To H$$l with making friends or winning hearts and minds of foreigners- this is war.

But get the cooperation of their governments if possible- which is Powells job.

<But going or not going to war is not always optional>

Name me a war that you don't think was optional. Be specific, telling why you think it couldn't have been avoided.

And I'll tell you, in detail, what could have been done, what alternative road we could have traveled down, what policies we chose not to do, to avoid the war.

Pick any war.
