Also interesting: newyorker.com; Fascinating article. I have been to Germany a couple of times and have a number of German friends. I often been amazed at how big and tall they are compared to us. I am slightly above average in height here in the US but there........I am a midget. And when I go to buy clothes there, I can wear some of the clothes that German boys wear just before they hit their late teens. That realization shocked the hell out of me. And then in France........in spite of the fact I am considered average or slightly above average in weight here.......there I felt fat. Its bizarre. ted
