The British Empire, the Brazilians, and most other nations, were able to eliminate slavery (and stay united) without a Civil War, in the 19th Century. To say that the massive bloodletting of our Civil War was unavoidable, is to ignore all those examples.

Please. Tell me your premed course load didn't permit any work in logic, theology, political science, anthropology, social science, creative writing or history.

That fantasy/post was not only devoid of reason as I understand the term, but it appears founded on a faith whose cavalier expression strikes me as vulgar as anything I've heard outside of a Klan rally.

I have seen some simple conclusions in my day, and I may have made an irrational judgment here and there myself. But your thought processes leave me no basis on which to communicate with you.

That's the bad news.

But there is good news too. There just isn't any reason for me to communicate with you.
