Kerry, as a young man voiced his concern over a bad war and his concern over the treatment of vets. At the same time, Shrubbery was getting drunk and being AWOL from his National Guard Duty.

How anyone can say that Shrubbery's actions were better than Kerry's back then is astonishing.

Only those who have no character would say that. Remember, Karl Rove and Rush Limbaugh are looking for those who don't think for themselves as minions for the RNC.

I was sent to Vietnam in March of '70. When all was said and done, the one thing that pissed off many vets was the way we were lied to...by both Johnson & Nixon.

And damned if it hasn't happened again in Iraq.

I am assuming that you consider McCain and Chuck Hagel as honorable and respectable Vietnam vets. They have praised Kerry for his Vietnam service.

Yes, we won't forget, and that's a good thing for Kerry and a bad thing for Bush. We remember other men who sent us to war with little regard for our lives or the necessity and doability of the mission. Men like Bush who led from far, far in the rear while we took the punishment for frivolous and doomed policies. Vietnam is not going to cost Kerry, it is going to cost Bush.
