The Government has to repay that money they borrowed from Social Security. Otherwise, there will be hell to pay.

"How do you explain?"

Funding of SS is the same as funding any other federal program - a choice of priorities. Should wealthy oldsters get more than poor youngsters? Not in my book. The money's being paid in and out are just that - not an a paid for insurance policy. Talk to an oldster today - they think they are simply getting their money back. Tell them not so - tell them they are on welfare - see what happens. I have tried it.

We have a lot of national problems. We need a national debate on all of them.

I sincerely hope that one of the candidates wins 55:45.
