"What will you say when Dell starts to use Opteron?" Not sure, but I'm fairly confident I'll have ample time to consider an appropriate response! Kidding aside, I'm with you on the Dell Opteron issue. The tradeoffs (i.e. customer erosion) is just too great for Dell not to capitulate, and fairly soon the way SUNW, IBM and HPQ are reving up! Besides, as mentioned several times before, it's a disservice to the Dell customer base for Dell not to be offering the best price/performing server in the marketplace!
