I looked at the map of Berlin Messe at the link.
Wow! That complex has become gigantic. I remember when it was just one building to the left of the Funkturm.
I saw shows like Ella Fitzgerald, Rolling Stones, Credence Clearwater, Harlem Globetrotters, and world indoor bike races there.

Also saw some of the car races up and down the Avus that turned at the Funkturm.

All of that of course was only on those days I was not in a Kneipe.
