Actually, we don't need to nuke them, and that would probably not be too wise, since we don't want to irradiate the oil before we can get it. Can't have glowing exhaust coming out of our cars,ya know.
No, I highly recommend the Genghis Khan method. Kill everybody,make piles of the skulls, burn everything, salt the soil. That will fix them. The long sought end of Babylon.
