WHEN I READ THE CATO MISSION I DO NOT KNOW WHAT FAULT YOU COULD FIND WITH THIS.... SOUNDS VERY AMERICAN AND FAIR TO ME.

Yep, it sounds reasonable. I'm referring, however, to their reports. The policy proposals I've read tend to be much too ideological. That is, documents read as if the authors started with their conclusions then looked for evidence to support them. I prefer documents which fit the evidence, all the evidence, tighter.

Sorry to butt in like this but, IMO the Classic Liberal and Conservative have more in common with each other than the crazies that use these labels to advance really badstuff.

In both cases the Liberal and the Conservative are seeking truth. Neither true Liberal or Conservative support violence as a means to solve problems.

Liberals and Conservatives have to get together - they both have to clean house and get rid of the crazies in their ranks. That really rankles me, in many cases, neither side are willing to admit that they have crazies in their camp and will point only to and go nuts over the crazies on the other side. Just because you can point out some crazies on the other side doesn't discredit the philosophy - in either case.

The arguments have to be won on a much higher level. But if we wallow on that low level, we aren't getting anywhere.

It really is debateable as to which side is closer to the truth. Chances are there may be more than one path that leads to the truth - and chances are you may get there going either left or going right.
