State Sen. Wayne Kuipers: John Kerry's support of a 50-cent per gallon gas tax is one more example of how out of touch he is with Michiganders

Lansing, MI - Today, Michigan State Sens. Wayne Kuipers and Valde Garcis joined Michigan State Reps. Tom Casperson, Scott Hummel and other local citizens to raise awareness and protest John Kerry's support of a 50-cent per gallon gas tax. Throughout his tenure during the Dukakis/Kerry Administration and in the Senate, John Kerry has repeatedly supported higher gas taxes.

"The gas tax plan John Kerry supported would make life a lot more expensive here in Michigan and ultimately hurt our economy. This is just another example of how out-of-touch John Kerry is with Michiganders," said Sen. Kuipers.
