Hey elmer:

As you may know, I have posted that INTC will survive. In fact, my guess is INTC is at or near its lows given where I see this semi cycle going.

My primary point in the originating post was not to dis INTC but to dis Westmonts report which included all that I included in my original post, yet Westmont arrived at the rather bizarre conclusion, that INTC was going up $10 and AMD down $5 over the next 12 months...Hey, if his preamble had been along the lines of that which you presented, it might have made some sense, but his preamble, in any relative sense was highly pro-AMD.

The reprot is an embarrassment and, unfortunately for other analysts who exercise a degree of logic in arriving at their recommendations, reflects poorly on Smith Baloney and investment analysts in general, imo!

Again, INTC'll be fine over the next 12 months, just not nearly as fine as AMD, given recent trends and current indicators, imo!

Price parity is much more probable than an (AMD/INTC) price ratio of (1/3) over the next 12 months for reasons previously cited. If you and the "multiplexing man" are suggesting otherwise, would you care to be more specific

"and unlike AMD, they do not have a history of manufacturing problems."

Think "notched transistor"...

It happens to the best of us.
