I got it to solder, it took allot of heat though. It's not to last long anyhow. I'm making my own dog fence slit and wire delivery doohickey, pulled behind my lawn tractor. You would be proud, I spent only 8 bucks so far on it. I also added shrink wrap tube to smooth out the wire delivery part of it. The folks next door think I am nuts anyhow. My wife pulling my son and I behind the tractor sliding on board with a old table saw blade half way though it and role of wire attached to 2x4s to support the wire seems normal along with everything else I do. LOL
