I didn't say anything about his character. He was an important part of the Bush team effort which misled America into believing that Saddam Hussein was an immenent threat to American Security. It is a reflection on his competence.

With regard to the BW/CW mobile labs, the only sources for that information were four Iraqi defectors. It appears that all four of them were liars. And we have seen that much of the testimony that was based on Chalabi's and other defectors has been false.

There was no corroboration by our own intelligence that such mobile weapons labs existed.

This was a cornerstone in the UN speech. In my mind it is gross incompetence to base testimony of such gravity on unnamed defectors, especially when the CIA does not confirm the assertions.

Is this lying? or is it incompetence? You decide and then explain that to the widows and families of the fallen soldiers.
