The enemy of the Middle East is not the West so much as modernism itself and the humiliation that accrues when millions themselves are nursed by fantasies, hypocrisies, and conspiracies to explain their own failures.

Damn! Hanson is good, isn't he? When we have a dark day like today, I take solace from the fact that Victor is read with regularity in the White House.

That article by Victor Davis Hanson ~No more passes and excuses for the Middle East~ should be required reading for everyone, and for sure, every voter in the US.
