These newly developed SR-1 decontamination systems will be deployed throughout the country in and around large cities and at regional hospitals. The order was placed through TVI's European distributor PPS Ltd., and Italian distributor EDY srl., a supplier of emergency response equipment in Italy and the Mediterranean region. The Civil Protection Department along with the Italian Medical Corp selected the TVI system after careful analysis of emergency response and WMD decontamination products available on the world market. TVI designed and developed the SR-1 for the Italian Government. "The new system is our largest single-unit mass casualty decontamination product offered to date, capable of handling a large number of patients at one time. It was developed specifically to meet the needs of the Italian Medical Corp and the Civil Protection Department. We believe this new system will be of great interest to our domestic first responders, as well as other countries looking for larger capacity systems" said Rick Priddy, TVI President. A national strike team of 118 trained individuals will respond, deploy and operate these new systems. Mr. Priddy continued, "It is gratifying to see the acceptance and recognition our products are receiving internationally. We will continue to work with our international clients to develop systems that meet the specific needs of their government."
