I would say ANY white or maybe even Asian baby is easily adoptable, so there is no reason to worry about raising a child you dont want. You're quite mistaken. In the US, (1) premature babies, who often have disabilities, some of which don't show up right away; (2) sick babies; (3) babies with disabilities; (4) HIV-positive babies; (5) black babies; (6) older children, are often not adopted. No woman can be sure her child will find a parent. But you are prescribing for the whole world, aren't you? In Japan, bloodlines are culturally sacred, adoption is shameful, and abandoned children grow up in orphanages. In the Third World, people can't afford to feed the children they already have, and don't adopt any but relatives' children. The cities of Africa are full of children who live in gutters until they die of malnutrition or disease. South American favelas are overrun with homeless urchins living in the streets, begging or stealing what food they get. I have heard (I am not sure of this) that the vast majority of abortions are black children. If that is so, I get this sneaky feeling the Govt. is practicing legal genocide rather then have to support an unwanted black child? Since the government (1) propagandizes against abortion, (2) pays not one cent of the cost of any abortion, that's rather fanciful.
