GV, as I was explaining over on IHub, AMD's entire history has been teetering between bankruptcy and lavish profitability. Most AMD investors wouldn't mind seeing a return to the good times of 2000, and many believe 2004 will be it. Of course, the trick is knowing when to sell, since the trail of AMD is littered with the corpses of bag-holders who didn't.

AMD is making money now, and as long as they are cash flow positive and have plenty of cash for ops (which they do), thats all that should matter. I know intel likes to bring up what AMD could do 10 years ago but the only issue relevant now is how competitive AMD is today, and they are very competitive.

Intel has some things up their sleeve with these new solid state TVs and if they can get that going then Intel will be poised well for the future but right now with new ventures as unknown AMD is a better investment than Intel.
