canyondweller, I think you are out of line here with your last few statements...

Political assassination is no stranger to America, President Kennedy, Senator Bobby Kennedy, MLK, President Reagan, President Ford... all in our times.....

Bush, Cheney put themselves in harms way every day they step outside, especially in this day and age...
I think it takes great courage to fight terrorism on the level they have committed us,the USA, to.
they are the "up front" leaders, mouthpieces for this anti terrorist activity...and they have both visited the troops in Afghanistan and Iraq ...IMO they put their money where their mouth is... every day.

your comments re "the rest of the world didn't think invading Iraq was a good idea" paraphrased...
should be qualified, ie....

France, Germany, Russia the main naysayers were all financially and politically aligned with Saddam Hussein at the time, they stood to lose billions of $$$ and they did, and they are still pissed but they are Pragmatic leaders first and all is becoming better daily...
