It sounds like something from the twilight zone I agree - but that is 100% the ACTUAL GOP party platform of the State of Texas year 2000. Considering the President of the United States AND the House majority leader comes from Texas they ain't as "wingnut" or "marginal" as one would think - considering the EXTREME viewpoints. Part of politics is to get your platform across if even in a sneaky way so that the majority doesn’t realize what’s going on. Canada's politics, even the right, is much left of the politics in the states but it's still creepy to think what the not so extreme right wants to accomplish.
