This is false. Not all murderers are equal. The mother does not necessarily have a profit motive here. She may be responding inappropriately to duress that is increased by the life growing inside her. She threatens only the one life, the one uniquely attached to her. These are all fitting extenuating circumstances that would deny a death sentence for the her. Indeed, they would deny any punitive measure against her. Her sentence could in many cases be rehabilitative. The abortionist is the cold-blooded murderer here. He threatens the very principle of human life, not merely a single instance of it, but all allowable instances, and not because of duress, but for cash. He deserves death.
