whats going on in the NC area wrt jobs? I saw a piece yesterday where travelocity laid off $8/hr call center workers in WV to send the jobs to india in order to save 10 million per year total.

This is disgusting, the difference between india call centers and $8/hr US jobs is not worth offshoring, and 10 million can easily be had by raiding most any companies executive suite. Now what is going to happen to those workers? The public dole, I suspect.
