Either way, these were fringe parts for both vendors and sold in quantities like present P4EE/FX chips with a slight boost for the 1GHz plateau. Waiting for a Thunderbird however offered a solid performance boost from the full speed on-die cache rather than 1:3 for the last Slot A Athlons. -PT
