ork - NCEN comments from briefing.com FWIW --

8:26 pm ET New Century announces decision to convert to REIT (NCEN) 45.40 -2.10: -- Update -- Co announces that, after careful review, its Board of Directors voted in favor of converting the company to a Real Estate Investment Trust (REIT). NCEN also raises quarterly dividend to $0.20 from $0.16 and reports it is on track to exceed its $30 bln 2004 loan production goal. (Briefing.com note: Recall that in its March 31 upgrade, Jefferies placed a value on the stock of $52 if co remained a C-Corp and $58 should it convert into a REIT, and noted that recent weakness in stock had been due to concerns that co might not adopt REIT status this year.)
