Because the greatest buying opportunity of my lifetime, anyway, was in 1981. I missed that one.

By all means. I should reiterate that the next few months represent a buying opportunity. I don't expect the indexes to do too much in that time period, but by the fall, the window will be closing. Of course, you could always wait 'til 2008 or 2009 before you throw in the bearish towel, as many did last time around. The pain will become excruciating, however.
