I don't know about Hussman and his track record, but I would hate to have bought on Thursday is all I can say :-)

He might be the cleverest bunny in the universe. I just cannot see how a 2-3% USD return is a "buy", even if inflation in the said country were not 4%...

Any treasuries longer than two years are an interest-rate trap. Staying short term in government paper is fine, but the longer maturities are as they say "certificates of confiscation."
