It does seem strange that we would have these folks walking into government offices and saying "Hi, I'm illegal, and I'm here for a drivers license".

I guess no one seriously wants to enforce the immigration laws, so the laws must not reflect the political and economic realities. Laws that you won't/can't enforce are bad laws. They ought to be changed/liberalized to something that people are able and willing to enforce.

In the meantime, I say let 'em drive. They couldn't be any worse than the over-80 crowd that get's their drivers license renewed for, what, 10 years?

I don't really need to ask, but what do you think?
